5K HeartRun
Sunday, March 21, 1999
9:00 am

The 5K HeartRun is celebrating its fifth year and is attracting thousands of running enthusiasts. The race starts at the corner of Fifth and Main Street and finishes at Fifth and Walnut Street in downtown Cincinnati. There will be a roped off area at the start of the race for the seeded runners. Race officials will interview prospective seeded runners at the registration area in the Convention Center and at the stage (starting line) prior to the race start.

There will be refreshments and entertainment on Fountain Square after the run.

Awards

The ChoiceCare/Humana Cup will be given to the top male and female finishers. The top three finishers and top 10% finishers in each category will also receive awards. Categories are divided by sex and age (15 & under, 16-18, 19-24 and five year increments starting at 25). Wheelchair is also a category. There is also a new category this year for those individuals who have suffered a major heart ailment. See 5/3 Bank Red Cap on home page.



15K Cincinnati Heart Mini-Marathon

The 15K Cincinnati Heart Mini-Marathon is celebrating its 22nd year as a Cincinnati tradition and continues to attract thousands of running enthusiasts. The race starts at the corner of Fifth and Main Street and finishes at Fifth and Walnut Street in downtown Cincinnati. There will be a roped off area at the start of the race for the seeded runners. Race officials will interview prospective seeded runners at the registration area in the Convention Center and at the stage (starting line) prior to the race start.

5K & 10K HeartWalk
March 21, 1999
12:00 Noon

Cincinnati HeartWalk ’99 is a fun, non-competitive 5K and 10K event. It’s a great way to test your stamina and have fun doing it. The walk starts and finishes at Fountain Square in downtown Cincinnati. Refreshments and entertainment will be at the finish line as well as on the course.

 



2K Kids’ Mini-MaraFun
Sunday, March 21, 1999
12:15 pm

An exciting event that gives kids ages seven through twelve the opportunity to take part in a real, competitive race. The race starts at Fifth and Main Street and finishes at Fifth & Walnut Street in downtown Cincinnati. Each child gets an official race shirt, number and cheers from a roaring crowd. Ribbons will be given to the top 50 finishers. Kids will also see their name posted in the Cincinnati Enquirer’s official results.

There will be refreshments and entertainment on Fountain Square before and after the run.
